GMA Innovation Submission - Clorox Defect Tree Analysis for Packaging Improvement
June 2006
This case study demonstrates how you really can "see the forest for the trees"- with the right information and analysis. Through the leadership efforts of the manufacturing team, an innovative approach was developed that allows a multi- dimensional perspective by accessing the data across all departmental silos, identifying the common denominators, and analyzing the details/trees from a unique and more appropriate perspective. This approach opened the door to impactful decision-making that resulted in significant damage reductions through company-wide packaging changes.
