Inmar Launches Network to Make Digital Promotions Work for Everyone

Nashville, Tenn., April 14, 2010 - Inmar, the nation's leading promotion transaction settlement provider, yesterday unveiled a proprietary network of brands, retailers and technology companies that enables consumers to use digital offers from their favorite brands wherever they shop. The ONiX digital incentive network acts as single point of connectivity between publishers issuing digital offers and the retail point-of-sale systems electronically redeeming offers.
"Brands and retailers are excited about the possibilities of digital incentives connected to loyalty cards and presented on mobile phones and other devices. ONiX gives a safe environment for them to test and grow," said Susan Jones, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Inmar's Promotions Services division. "In order for mobile coupons and other digital promotions to work well for the consumer products industry, these promotions need the technology, tools and accountability that ONiX offers."
A consortium of companies will use the neutral ground of the ONiX platform to compete in a safe, secure and scalable environment. Digital publishers – firms in the business of connecting brands to consumers – provide the offer content to the network. Point-of-sale integration providers – technology firms which have developed proprietary redemption solutions for specific retailers – give the network outlets for activating offers.
"ONiX helps brings the network participants' solutions to life," said Sharon Wahrmund, Director of Business Development for Inmar's ONiX network. "Each has differentiators that meet the needs of their respective markets. But ONiX meets the common interest – to make these promotions work for consumers at checkout, regardless of where they shop and regardless of the technology employed – and takes advantage of existing infrastructure to make it happen."
As the network is being launched, ONiX will include over 20 well-known publisher participants and about 10 leading point-of-sale integration participants.
